1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips, or
baking chocolate -- (use good quality chocolate)
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon flavoring extract of your choice -OR-
2 tablespoons liqueur of your choice
cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chopped nuts, or coconut -- to coat truffles
Melt the chocolate chips and butter. Stir in cream and flavoring. Refrigerate until firm enough to handle, then form into balls. Roll in coating and refrigerate until firm.
