Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 pork roast
1 teaspoon dried oregano -- crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 medium onions -- cut into thin wedges
1 1/4 cups orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
3 tablespoons cornstarch
Hot cooked noodles (optional)
Trim fat from pork. Rub roast with oregano, ginger and pepper. Place in roasting pan and surround with onions (I tucked a few underneath).
In a bowl combine 1 cup of the orange juice, the sugar, steak sauce, and soy sauce. Pour over meat.
Roast at 325F until done (meat thermometer should register 170F). Transfer roast to a serving platter; keep warm.
For sauce, mix remaining orange juice, orange peel and cornstarch; stir into pan juices. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Pass sauce with meat. If desired, serve with noodles.
This can be cooked in a crockpot for 8-10 hours on low.
