Saffron Basmati and Wild Rice

1/2 cup wild rice
2 cups water
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon saffron threads -- crushed
Bring wild rice, 2 c. water, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. pepper to a boil. Cover and cook on low 50-60 minutes or until done.
Bring basmati rice, remaining water, salt, pepper and the saffron to a boil. Cover and cook on low for 25-30 minutes or until done.
Gently mix two rices.
