Recipe Introduction
I used the ingredients for this recipe switching the chicken for cubed pork sirloin,,it was great!
Country Fried Chicken
1/3 cup all-purpose flour (I used heaping 1/3 cup)
1 teaspoon garlic salt (I used seasoned salt)
1 teaspoon pepper (I used less)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 egg
1/4 cup 2% milk (I used skim)
2 chicken thighs (6 ounces each)
2 chicken drumsticks (4 ounces each)
(I used 1 breast, two wings and 3 thighs)
Canola oil for frying
In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first five ingredients. In a shallow bowl, beat the egg and milk. Add chicken to the bag, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. Dip into egg mixture and shake again. Remove from bag and let stand for 5 minutes.
Heat about 1 inch of oil in a large skillet. Fry chicken until golden brown on all sides. Reduce heat to medium and cook until a meat thermometer reads 180 degrees, about 15 minutes.
