    Alex and Danny's French Silk Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup butter, softened
    • 3 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
    • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
    • 3 eggs
    • 1 9" baked pie crust
    • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for garnish)


    Instructions


    1. Cream sugar and butter using an electric mixer for about 2 minutes (until fluffy). Stir in unsweetened chocolate and vanilla.

    2. Add one egg at a time. Beat mixture at medium speed after each egg. Scrape sides of bowl constantly. Turn into baked pastry shell.

    3. Refrigerate pie 4-6 hours until set. In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips. Using a spoon, drizzle melted chocolate in a random fashion over the pie. Return pie to refrigerator until garnish is solid.
