- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled slightly
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 9" baked pie crust
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cream sugar and butter using an electric mixer for about 2 minutes (until fluffy). Stir in unsweetened chocolate and vanilla.
- Add one egg at a time. Beat mixture at medium speed after each egg. Scrape sides of bowl constantly. Turn into baked pastry shell.
- Refrigerate pie 4-6 hours until set. In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips. Using a spoon, drizzle melted chocolate in a random fashion over the pie. Return pie to refrigerator until garnish is solid.
