    Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

    I can't remember where this came from, but it is yummy!!

    1 broiler/fryer cut up (3 1/2-4 pounds)
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    2/3 cup vinegar
    1/4 Sprite or 7-up (regular or diet)
    2-3 tblsp minced garlic
    2 tblsp soy sauce
    1 tsp cayenne pepper (can use black if you don't like cayanne)

    Place chicken in a large ziploc bag. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken, refrigerate 2-4 hours. Transfer chicken and marinade to a large skillet, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes or until juices run clear.
