Cake-Mix Choc Chip & Walnut Banana Loaf

    Source of Recipe

    Recipe Introduction

Easy and very good banana bread. If you decide to chunk up the chocolate yourself, don't make the chunks too large or they will all sink to the bottom. You can also try tossing them with a little flour.

    List of Ingredients

    1 box yellow cake mix
    1/3 cup oil
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (3 to 4 medium)
    12 oz. chocolate chips/chunks
1 c. coarsely chopped and toasted walnuts

    Recipe

Heat oven to 350F. Spray 2 (8x4-inch) loaf pans with cooking spray and, if you like, line with parchment paper.

Mix cake mix, oil, eggs, and bananas well. Stir in the chocolate and nuts.

Divide batter evenly between pans. Bake 45-55 minutes or until the loaves register 210 degrees. Cool on rack in pans for 15 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on racks.

Cakes will slice better if refrigerated for a little while. Use a serrated knife.

    Makes 2 8x4-inch loaves
