    Chicago-Style Creamy Garlic Dressing

    Source of Recipe

    The Old Farmer's Almanac

    Recipe Introduction

A good, creamy dressing. It was VERY thick. I ended up adding about one tablespoon additional vinegar and maybe 1/2 a teaspoon more garlic granules to the final dressing. I think some anchovy paste might be nice, too. NOTE: Plan ahead! The dressing needs to sit for 3 days.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups sour cream
    2/3 cup mayonnaise
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
    1/8 teaspoon cider vinegar
    2-1/2 tablespoons sugar
    Salt and pepper, to taste
    Chives (optional)

    Recipe

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Place in a jar and refrigerate for 3 days before eating. It will last one month in the fridge.
