Mom's Strawberry Pie




List of Ingredients



• 1 baked pie shell
  
• 1 C sugar
  
• 2 T cornstarch
  
• 1/4 tsp. salt
  
• 1 3/4 C water
  
• 1 small package strawberry jello
  
• 1 tsp vanilla
  
• 1 quart strawberries
  
• 1/2 pint whipping cream
  






Instructions



1. Combine sugar with cornstarch and salt and water in saucepan
   
2. Cook mixture until clear, stirring constantly
   
3. While mixture is still hot add vanilla and jello
   
4. Cool in refrigerator until it starts to thicken
   
5. Put cleaned berries into mixture then pur into pie shell
   
6. Berries can be sliced or left whole
   
7. Top with Whipped cream
