Mom's Miniature Cream Puffs
Mom's wonderful cream puffs. Great for any potluck, dinner of dessert!
List of Ingredients
- 1/2 C Butter
- 1 C Water
- 1/8 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 C Flour
- FILLINGS:
- Tuna Salad
- or
- Mocha Cream
- 1/2 C cold milk
- 1 Envelope whipped topping mix
- 2 T Chocolate flavored powder
Instructions
- In heavy saucepan bring mixture of butter, salt, water and sugar to a boil stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Add flour with a wooden spoon until misture makes a firm ball.
- Return to heat for 1 minute or until ball leaves the side of the pan.
- Cool for 5 minutes.
- Add eggs (1 at a time) until dough is smooth and glossy.
- Grease cookie sheet.
- Drop rounded tsp one at a time 2" apart
- Cook at 425 degrees till golden brown.
- Remove to rack to cool.
- Cut tops off and fill with desired filling
Final Comments
These are best prepared as close to serving as possible but do store well if made ahead of time in the refrigerator.
