Mom's Stuffing
List of Ingredients
- 1 lb. Sausage
- 1 loaf bread
- 1 onion
- celery
- 1 egg
- sage
- garlic salt
- onion salt
- pepper
- turkey to stuff
Instructions
- Heat sausage till grease melts
- In large bowl tear bread into small pieces
- add other ingredients except egg. Chop onions, and celery and add to bread mixture
- add cooled sausage and the egg and squish and mix till all is moistened a small amount of warm water may be added if needed
- prepare turkey by removing neck etc.
- Rinse turkey
- Stuff with stuffing mixture in both neck and body cavity
- Rub turkey with butter and a cooking bag can be used at this point to hurry the cooking process
- Bake at 350 degrees untill internal tempeture of turkey is done
- If you have extra stuffing or like crunchy stuffing it can be baked in a seperate casserole dish
