    Jubilee Jumbles


    Jubilee Jumbles

    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2-3/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    Frosting (recipe below)


    Mix butter, sugars and eggs together thoroughly.

    Add vanilla.

    Combine flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk; chill 1 hour.

    Preheat oven to 375.

    Drop dough by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Bake for 10 minutes. Frost cookies while still warm. Yield: about 5 doz.


    Frosting

    2 tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 c. sifted powdered sugar
    1/4 c. evaporated milk

    Heat and slightly brown butter, add sugar and milk, stir until mixed.
