    Bourbon & Beef Roast

    4 potatoes, quartered
    1 medium onion, quartered then sliced
    2 carrots, cut into 3" pcs.
    2 stalks celery, cut into 1" pcs.
    4-5 pound rolled beef roast
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. basil
    4 oz. bourbon
    1/4 c. water

    Put all in crock in the order listed. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours.
