    Crockpot Roast Beef

    List of Ingredients




    1 (4 to 5lb.) block-cut rump roast
    1 (12 oz.) can beer
    1 (15 oz.) can beef broth
    1 envelope onion-mushroom soup mix
    1 pkg. brown gravy mix
    1 c. water

    Recipe



    Sear beef in frying pan on all sides (not really necessary, but I think it gives meat a great flavor). Combine beer, beef broth and soup mix in crockpot. Add beef and cook on high for 5 hours. When done, remove meat from crockpot. Combine gravy mix and 1 c. cold water. Stir into juices in crockpot and cook until gravy thickens (it will not get real thick). Slice beef and put back in gravy. Turn to low and keep warm until ready to serve.
