Time consuming, but worth it!
List of Ingredients
- 6 lasagna noodles
- 2 TB oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 med. onion, chopped
- 1 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 pint cottage cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 TB. parsley
- 2 (6 oz) cans tomato paste
- 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese, grated
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to directions.
- Saute onion & garlic in oil until tender.
- Add beef & seasonings, cook until brown. Drain. Add tomato paste & hot water. Simmer 10-15 minutes.
- Blend beaten eggs & cottage cheese; set aside.
- In a long dish, layer sauce, noodles, cottage cheese & eggs, and 1/2 of both cheeses. Repeat until all is used. Top with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
