Swiss Steak
List of Ingredients
3 lb eye of round steaks about 1/2" thick
tomato paste (about 1 tbls.)
6-8 lg. mushrooms
1 green bell pepper, sliced in rings
2/3 - 3/4 c. chicken broth
3 tbls. green onions, chopped
onion powder
salt & pepper to tasteRecipe
1-Lay the steaks in a cooking pan.
2-Mix tomato paste and chicken broth well and pour over the meat.
3-Place one ring of bell pepper on top of the meat.
4-Slice mushrooms and sprinkle on top of steaks with the green onions.
5-Top with onion powder, salt & pepper to taste.
6-Bake until done at 350° (about an hour).
I love the left overs the next day. I think they're even tastier.
