    List of Ingredients


    • 2 CUPS FLOUR
    • 1/2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
    • 1/4 TSP SALT
    • 1/2 CUP LIGHT BROWN SUGAR, PACKED
    • 1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR
    • 1/2 CUP SALTED BUTTER, SOFTENED
    • 1 LARGE EGG
    • 1/2 CUP SOUR CREAM
    • 1 TSP PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
    • 1 CUP SEMISWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS


    Instructions


    1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350

    2. IN MEDIUM BOWL COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT WITH WIRE WISK. SET ASIDE.

    3. COMBINE SUGARS IN A LARGE BOWL USING AN ELECTRIC MIXER SET AT MEDIUM SPEED. ADD BUTTER AND BEAT UNTIL GRAINY. ADD EGG, SOUR CREAM, AND VANILLA, BEAT UNTILFLUFFY AND COMBINED. SCRAPE BOWL. ADD FLOUR MIXTURE, AND BLEND AT LOW SPEED UNTIL JUST COMBINED. DO NOT OVERMIX.

    4. PLACE CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN DOUBLE BOILER OVER HOT BUT NOT BOILING WATER. STIR CONTSTANTLY UNTIL MELTED.

    5. COOL CHOCOLATE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND POUR OVER COOKIE BATTER. USING A WOODEN SPOON OR RUBBER SPATULA, LIGHTLY FOLD MELTED CHOCOLATE INTO THE DOUGH. DO NOT MIX COMPLETELY INTO DOUGH.

    6. DROP BY ROUNDED TABLESPOONS 2 INCHES APART, ONTO UNGREASED COOKIE SHEETS. BAKE 20-22 MINUTES. DO NOT BROWN.
