    Recipe Introduction

This recipe makes a HUGE amount. It could be easily cut in half.

    List of Ingredients

    1 bag Navy Beans
    2 pounds Lean Ground beef
1 large, or 2 medium Onions, diced
    4 cloves garlic, minced
    1 pkg. Chilo mix Hot
    1 pkg. Chilo mix Mild
2 large tins of Diced Tomatoes
1 tin of water, or more if you want a thinner sauce
    1 TBSP. Cumin
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    1/2 cup bread crumbs(Optional)
900 gram box of dried Spaghetti

    Recipe

Soak beans in cold water overnight. Drain, cover with cold water, and bring to a boil. Cook until just soft, then drain, and put aside.

Cook Beef until brown, then add onions and Garlic. Cook until Onions are soft, and drain. Add Tomatoes, water, spice packets, and Cumin.

Simmer for 45 minutes on Med-low heat, stirring often. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add bread crumbs, if sauce seems too thin.

Cook Spaghetti as per directions on box. Drain. Add 2/3 of the sauce to the Spaghetti and mix. Add the remaining sauce to the cooked Beans, and mix.

Place a serving of the Spaghetti mixture onto a plate. Top with a generous serving of the bean mixture.

    Good with thick garlic toast.

    Enjoy...from Westfort, Ontario.
