Porkchops with Scalloped Potatoes
List of Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can (15 ounces) chicken broth
- 6 porkchops
- 2 Tablespoons cooking oil
- 6 cups thinly sliced, peeled potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- Paprika
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add chicken broth, cook and stir constantly until mixture boils. Cook for one minute, then set aside.
- In a skillet, brown porkchops in oil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- In a 9-inch x 13-inch baking dish, layer potatoes and onions. Place porkchops on top of potatoes and onions. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Uncover and bake for 30 minutes longer. Sprinkle with Paprika.
