Spaghetti Sauce
List of Ingredients
- SAUCE:
- 6 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons oregano
- 2 tablespoons basil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- some rosemary (to your liking)
- 2 bay leaves
- a little sage (to your liking)
- MEAT MIXTURE:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 3/4 medium onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, pressed
- Mushrooms, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Combine all sauce ingredients and simmer while the meat mixture is cooking. You may need to adjust some of the seasonings to your likings while the sauce is simmering.
- Brown meat, onion, bell pepper and garlic. Drain and add mushrooms (if using), mix with the sauce above. Continue simmering for another 45 minutes.
- Remember to remove the bay leaf. Enjoy! Can be frozen.
