    List of Ingredients


    • 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract
    • 2 Tablespoons water
    • 1 cup vegetable shortening
    • 1 Tablespoon meringue powder
    • 4 cups (1 lb) powdered sugar, sifted (measure then sift)
    • 1 teaspoon clear butter extract
    • pinch of salt


    Instructions


    1. Sift meringue powder and powdered sugar together, cream all other ingredients and mix everything together. This is STIFF CONSISTENCY

    2. FOR MEDIUM CONSISTENCY: add 1 more teaspoon water per 1 cup icing.

    3. FOR SOFT CONSISTENCY: add 3 more teaspoons water per 1 cup icing.
