    Another of my family's favorite dishes. Cooked in their own gravy, these are a great side dish with fried pork chops or fried chicken.

    List of Ingredients




    Potatoes
    salt
    pepper
    butter
    milk
    cornstarch

    Recipe



    Peel enough potatoes to feed everyone, and cut up in big chunks. Boil til fork tender but not mushy. Drain off most of the water, but leaving a little less than half the water in the pan with the potatoes. Put back on the stove and add milk til about a inch or so from the level of the potatoes. Cut up a stick of butter into the potatoes, add salt and pepper to taste. Make a mixture of cornstarch and milk. After the water in the potatoes has come back to a boil, pour cornstarch mixture over it. Stir and let cook til thick, and til butter is completely melted.
