OATMEAL RAISIN BREAKFAST BARS

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 egg
3 tbsp skim milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cups uncooked quick oats
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup shredded apples or carrots
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat brown sugar, regular sugar, and butter, or margarine, together
until smooth. Add applesauce, egg, milk, and vanilla. Set aside.
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix well. Then add to applesauce
mixture. Stir until completely blended together.
Stir in oats, raisins, and apple or carrots. Spread into a medium ungreased pan. Cook 25-30
minutes until completely set. Let cool and cut into bar sized pieces.
