    TOASTED ALMOND TRUFFLES

    List of Ingredients

    l/2 c. evaporated milk
    l/4 c. sugar
    l 3/4 c. milk chocolate chips
    l tsp. vanilla or almond extract
    l c. sliced almonds, finely chopped, toasted

    Recipe

    Combine evaporated milk and sugar in small saucepan. Bring to a boil
    over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring
    constantly, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in choc. chips.
    Stir vigorously until mixture is smooth. Stir in almond or vanilla
    extract. Refrigerate from l l/2 to 2 hours. Shape into l inch
    balls; roll in nuts. Cover; refrigerate until ready to serve.

    2 dozen truffles
