SOUR CREAM 'N' CHIVE POTATOES

5 1/2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and cubed
3 T. salt, divided
1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter or margarine, cubed
1/4 c. minced chives
1 t. pepperRecipe
Place potatoes in a Dutch oven; cover
with water. Add 1 t. salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 20 to 25 min. or until potatoes are very
tender. Drain well. In a lg. mixing bowl, mash the potatoes, sour cream,milk and butter. Add the chives, pepper and remaining salt; mix well.
