    A Dutch loaf/bread recipe.

    List of Ingredients




    Dough:
    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup milk
    2 pkg. yeast
    1/4 cup lukewarm milk
    2 1/2 cups flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    Filling:
    2 cup ground walnuts
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup milk

    Melt and cool butter in milk. Mix yeast in warm water.
    Sift flour, salt and sugar. Stir egg yolks into milk mixture
    and yeast. Beat well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. The
    dough will be sticky.
    Mix nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and milk over heat until
    paste. Cool. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add 1
    cup sugar into mixture.
    Roll 1/2 dough into 20-inch square on well floured
    board. Spread 1/2 of filling. Roll as jelly roll. Put into
    well greased angel food or Bundt pan. Roll other 1/2 and put
    rest of filling on, roll up. Place on first roll. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or glaze.
