    Recipe Introduction

I made this first for a party that Verne and Andrea had in S.L. quite a few years ago. I really like this a lot.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 loaf french bread (Can also use italian)
    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 6 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
    • 2 Tblsp sesame seeds

    • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
    • 2 cups cubed Monteray Jack
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 1 Tblsp dried parsley
    • 2 tsp lemon pepper
    • 1 can (14oz) artichoke hearts (drained) (I have used marinated)
    • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

    Instructions

    1. Cut loaf in half lengthwise. Place halfs on foil covered baking sheet.
    2. Tear out inside of bread in large chunks.
    3. Melt butter in a large skillet and stir in garlic and sesame seeds. Add bread chunks and fry until bread is golden and butter is absorbed. Remove from heat.
    4. Combine sour cream, Jack cheese, parmesan, parsley and lemon pepper. Stir in artichoke hearts and toasted bread. Mix well.
    5. Spoon into crusts and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
