Pinto Beans
1 lb dried Pinto beans (soak overnight in cold water (to cover)
4 cups water
1 large onion coarsely chopped
1 large can tomatoes
2 garlic cloves
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 lb salt por, bacon, or ham
Bring to boil and then simmer for 8 hours.
This is a recipe I've had before there were crockpots but it looks like a good crockpot recipe.
