You're in luck here, because this is a great cookie. I know your family and friends will love this one, I've loved it all my life.
List of Ingredients
1 Cup Vegitable Shortening ( Spry?)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2/3 cup sugar
2 Eggs -- well beaten
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
Recipe
Grease baking sheets.
Preheat oven to 375°
Combine shortening, salt, and Vanilla. Add sugar, then beat the eggs and beat thoroughly. Add flour and mix well.
Drop cookies by rounded teaspoon full onto prepared baking sheets.
Flaten cookies by stamping with the bottom of a glass covered with a damp cloth.
Or use a Fork dipping it in water before stamping cookie flat. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until delicately browned. Makes 4 1/2 Dozen
