Recipe Introduction
"Very Good stove top dressing / stuffing"
List of Ingredients
1 cup Wild Rice -- Uncooked
3 cups Chicken Broth -- Low Sodium
1 cup Diced Celery
1/4 cup instant Minced Onion
1/2 cup melted Butter
4 ounces Can Mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon thyme
Recipe
Cook Wild Rice in boiling Broth
Saute Celery, onion, and mushrooms in butter for 2 to 3 minutes
Combine all ingredients
Combine well in pan and heat through
Makes about 6 cups, or enough for a 10 pound turkey. it is also great with any wild game.
Can be served as dressing after being heated through if you don't want to stuff a bird.
Yield: "6 cups"
Serving Ideas : Works well as a dressing side dish with Chicken too.
NOTES : In a pinch 3 chicken bullion cubes can be used in 3 cups of water, but the chicken Broth, either canned or homemade, is better.
