    LIQUEUR, BLACKBERRY

    List of Ingredients

    4 C fresh blackberries
    3/4 C granulated sugar
    3/4 tsp ground alspice
    a 2 inch stick of cinnamon
    10 whole cloves
    2 C brandy

    Recipe

    In a two quart jar, or larger, combine the four cups berries,three quarter cup sugar, three quarter teaspoon allspice, ten cloves and the two cups brandy. Mix well and cover tightly.
    Shake jar daily for five days, or until sugar is completely dissolved.
    Let steep in a cool dark place for two months, occasionally shaking jar.
    After two months, strain and filter. Pour into bottles and cap tightly. Let age at least one month.
