Bacon, thin ham slices or salami
3 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 C sour cream
5 tortillas, heated until pliable
1 C raw greens, chard or spinach
4 green onions, thinly sliced
4 oz grated mild cheddarRecipe
Combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Fry the bacon crispy but still pliable. Drain. Heat the tortillas until pliable. Cool. Spread the above mixture on the tortillas and place strips of bacon over to cover the tortillas. trim ends to match the tortillas. (use cut off ends on next tortillas outer edges). Add greens, onions and grated cheese. Roll up and cut in desired lengths across the roll to make appetizers. Secure with toothpicks and serve with a dipping sauce if desired.
3/4 (16 ounce) jar plum jam
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine jam, vinegar, brown sugar, dried onion, red pepper, garlic and ginger. Bring to a boil, stirring. Remove from heat.
