    Chinese 5 Spice Hoisin glazed Spareribs

    2 T Chinese five-spice powder
    1 T kosher salt
    2 1/2 pounds pork spareribs
    olive oil
    1 8 oz jar hoisin sauce (about 1 C)

    Recipe



    Combine five-spice powder with salt. Rub thoroughly into spareribs, coating the entire rack of ribs. Place in a glass pan, cover with plastic wrap and marinade, refigerated, 2 hours.
    Heat grill to a slow fire, about 200-250 degrees (hold your hand, palm side down, 2-3 inches above the rack, until it feels uncomfortable, about 5 seconds. Drizzle or brush ribs with a thin coating of olive oil. Cook ribs fork tender, 1-2 hours. Brush with hoisin sauce twice during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
