List of Ingredients
1/3 C powdered milk
1/4 C sugar
2 pkgs yeast
1 T salt
6 C unsifted flour
1/3 C butter
2 C lukewarm waterRecipe
Combine dry ingredients, including yeast. cut in softened butter. Slowly stir in 2 C warm water and blend well. Beat well. Add 3/4 C flour and beat again.
Make a stiff dough by adding as much of the rest of the flour as possible. Put remaining flour on a board and knead it into the dough until it won't take anymore, or until elastic and smooth.
Grease a large bowl, add the dough, turning so the greased bottom is up. Let rise about 55 minutes.
Punch dough down and let rise again for 25 minutes. Before it doubles, divide into 10 equal balls. Position 2 inches apart and press down to flatten. Let rise again to doubled in size. (60 minutes).
Place over hot ashy coals. Close hood of grill and bake 60 minutes. Flip them and bake 20 minutes. Cool on racks.
