Make baking powder biscuit dough. Turn out onto a board and roll out into an oblong piece, one third of an inch thick.
Cream together one half cup butter and 1 cup light brown sugar. Spread the creamed mixture over the dough and roll up jelly roll fashion. Cut into 1 inch slices and bake in a well greased pan at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes or so. Serve hot.
Marmalade;
Roll to a scant one quarter inch thick and shape into 3 inch rounds with a biscuit cutter. Place a teaspoon of marmalade in the center of each, fold and crimp edges. Transfer to a well greased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 minutes, or until brown on top.
