2 1/2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 T sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 C buttermilk
Recipe
Sift the dry ingredients and stir in the buttermilk. Work mixture until well blended and then put it into a well buttered 8 inch square pan. Bake in a 425 F. oven for 25 minutes, or until browned and done. If desired a criss-cross pattern can be cut into the top of the dough.before it is baked.
