List of Ingredients
- 2 C unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 T graulated sugar (optional)
- 6 T cold unsalted butter
- 2/3 C cold buttermilk
Instructions
- Combine dry ingredients. Cut in the butter, until it resembles coarse meal. Stir in buttermilk until mixture holds together.
- Roll and pat out dough to 3/4 inch thick. Cut biscuits with 2 1/2 inch diameter cutter. Bake on center rack of oven 12-15 minutes, or until deep golden brown on top.
