    Source of Recipe

    1963

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    2 tablespoons shortening
1/4 cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter
    3/4 cup milk

    Recipe

Sift dry ingredients together into a bowl. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in shortening and peanut butter until mixture is crumbly. Make a well in center of mixture, pour in milk and stir only until soft dough is formed. Knead gently on lightly floured pastry cloth for about thirty seconds.
Roll or pat dough to about a half inch thickness and cut into biscuits. Place on ungreased baking sheet, close together for soft sides or about an inch apart for crusty sides. Bake in very hot oven, 450 degrees, for 10-12 minutes.
