French Toast, Ginger Bread

List of Ingredients
2 eggs
1/2 C milk
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground allspice
pinch salt
3-4 slices Italian or sourdough bread or challah
butter for the pan
Toppings;
real maple syrup
yogurt
minced crystallized ginger
powdered sugar
Recipe
Preheat a large skillet over low heat.
Break the eggs into a 10 inch pie pan. Beat or whisk while you drizzle in the milk and sprinkle with the spices and salt. Beat slowly until smooth.
Soak the bread in the egg mixture on both sides, until soaked clear through. Transfer to a plate while dipping rest of bread.
Add butter to the hot pan and increase heat to medium high. Fry the french toast on both sides until nicely browned and crisp all over. Serve hot with desired toppings.
