List of Ingredients
- 1 T bacon fat
- 1/2 pound lamb, cubed
- 1 1/2 -2 C diced red yams
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 2 slices of a large red onion, chopped
- 4 Baby carrots, sliced
- .
- 10 roasted or jarred chestnuts, cut into quarters
- 1/4 of a medium bell pepper, diced
- 1 C chopped red cabbage
- 1 clove garlic, pressed
- salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
- .
- 1/4 C half and half
Instructions
- Slice, chop and prepare vegetables and lamb. Add the meat to the skillet with everything down to the carrots. cut the chestnuts into quarters and add. cook until carrots and yams are tender. Add rest of ingredients except the half and half. Cook 10-15 minutes. Add half and half (or gravy) and stir to coat well. Serve hot for breakfast.
