Cake, Apricot Oatmeal

List of Ingredients
1 c rolled oats
1/2 C packed, finely chopped apricots
1/2 C butter
1 1/4 C boiling water
1 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 C packed brown sugar
Recipe
In a bowl mix oats, apricots, butter and water. Let stand until cool.
Mix dry ingredients and set aside.
In large bowl of mixer, beat eggs and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in oats alternately with flour mixture. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2 pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35 minutes. Spread with glaze at once. Broil 5 inches from heat source until bubbly and light brown,(3 minutes). Cool cake in pan on a rack.
Glaze;
1 C chopped walnuts
1/2 C packed brown sugar
1/3 C butter
1/4 C milk
2 T flour
1 tsp vanilla
Stir over medium heat until just well blended.
