    1/2 C butter
    1 C brown sugar
    2 egg yolks
    1 C sour milk
    1 3/4 C flour
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 tsp cloves
    1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
    1/2 C chopped walnuts
    1 C raisins
    1/2 C currants
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff

    Recipe



    cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks, baking soda dissolved in sour milk, spices, nuts, fruit. Next flour, salt, baking powder sifted together. Last egg whites. Bake in loaf pan one hour at 350 degrees.
