    Cake, Chocolate Nougat

    List of Ingredients

    1 c sugar
    1 C butter
    1 1/2 C flour
    2 eggs
    1 C fruit (raisins, dates, nuts, etc....)
    2 squares (2 oz)melted bakers chocolate

    Recipe

    Cream the sugar and butter together, until light and fluffy.
    Add 1 egg and thoroughly mix with wire whisk, add the other egg and do the same. Add the fruit and nuts to the flour and stir well to coat. Add flour and fruit to batter alternately with the chocolate. Butter and flour cake pans. Pour mixture in and bake in a moderate oven for 40 minutes.
    Icing; A little cream and maple syrup and thicken with powdered sugar and add 2 squares melted chocolate.
