    Angel Food Cake, Filled

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 10 inch angel food cake
    • 4 eggs
    • 1/4 C lemon juice
    • 1/2 C orange juice
    • 2 tsp grated orange rind
    • 1 C sugar
    • 1 C whipping cream


    Instructions


    1. With sharp thin bladed knife carefully hollow out cake, leaving a shell about 1 inch thick. Cut the cake removed from center into small pieces.

    2. Beat eggs with sugar. Add lemon and orange juices and rinds. Cook and stir until very thick and smooth in double boiler. Chill

    3. Fold in whipped cream and cake pieces. pour into cake shell. Chill until firm.

    4. Frost cake with thin butter frosting.
