List of Ingredients
- 10-12 apples
- 2 C sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 T gelatine
- 6 T cold water
- 1 C chopped walnuts
- 1 1/3 T lemon juice
Instructions
- Cut the apples into small pieces, unpeeled. Cook slowly until tender, in just enough water to keep from scorching.Then put it thruogh a sieve.
- Add sugar and salt, cook until very thick, stirring to prevent sticking. usually 15 minutes.
- Soak gelatine in the cold water and add to apple mixture. stir until dissolved. Remove from heat.
- pour into shallow pans to cool. Chill.When set cut into squares or rectangles and roll in powdered sugar.
