1 1/2 C sugar
1/4 C water
3 Tblsp orange juice
1/2 tsp grated orange rind
2 C walnut meats
Recipe
Combine sugar, water and orange juice. Cook slowly until mixture boils. Boil slowly, without stirring, to 240 degrees (or when a small quantity dropped into cold water forms a semi-firm ball). Remove from heat, add orange rind and nut meats. Stir until syrup begins to look cloudy. Drop by teaspoons on waxed paper. (any nut meats may be substituted for walnut meats.)
