List of Ingredients
1 C firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 C granulated sugar
1/2 C heavy cream
2 T butter
1 1/2 C pecan halves (6 oz)Recipe
Cook to soft ball stage the following;
the brown sugar
cream
and butter
Meanwhile brown remaining 1 C granulated sugar in heavy skillet. When first mixture has reached soft ball stage and sugar in skillet has caramelized, mix together. Blend well and when slightly cooled, add nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls on waxed paper or greased surface.

Acadian, use almonds in place of pecans
Dark pecan pralines, omit sugar and use 2 cups brown. Use half in the skillet.
Florida coconut, Omit brown sugar, use granulated and substitute 1 C finely grated coconut for pecans.
Peanut, Replace pecans with 1 1/2 cups peanuts.
