    2 C sugar
    2/3 C hot water
    2 T molasses
    2 rounded T butter
    1 quart pecan halves slightly toasted
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    pinch salt

    Recipe



    Put water, sugar and molasses on to boil. When it starts to boil add butter, pecans, salt and vanilla. This takes about 10-15 minutes. The small amount of syrup left in the pecans has become frothy. Pour on a greased cookie sheet and lift pecans to separate, with a fork. The nuts will begin to dry as you continue to lift and stir them about.
