5 pounds Concord grapes
water
5 C sugar
2 C vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/2 C mixed pickle spice

Cover grapes with water. Bring to a boil. Put through a food mill to end up with 9 cups of product. Add the vinegar, sugar and salt.
Tie spices in small cheese cloth bag and add. Cook slowly until thick, stirring occasionally. Remove spices.
Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal 15 minutes. You can use this in meat recipes that call for grape jelly, or serve as ketchup. Great with pork or duck.
Makes 4 pints.
