    Spiced Cranberries

    List of Ingredients




    3 qrts cranberries
    1 C vinegar (note)
    1 C seasoned rice vinegar
    1 c water
    9 C sugar
    3 tblsp cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp clove
    1 1/2 tsp allspice

    Recipe



    Combine all and cook slowly over low heat 45 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars and seal for 25 minutes in water bath for quart jars at sealevel.
    Variation/note; If you have a vinegar brine left from making senfgerkens, use it in place of the vinegar.
    These cranberries can be used in a pie, tart or filled cooky if thicked a little. Or use it as a condiment, as in recipes calling for mincemeat,(drain the liqud off). Use liquid drained from the cranberries on ice cream, etc.. or thicken it and use on cheesecake, Belgium waffles, or desserts.
